You'll get another quest from a nearby goblin called Chief Engineer Scooty, do that quest and you'll get a Goblin Transponder which takes you RIGHT outside Gnomeregan, an instance in Dun Morogh. Pretty sure I have not completed this chain but yet was able to get a replacement transponder from him.
